Thanking him for showing Rabaud the letter to Mr. Damrosch from the Ministre de l'Instruction Publique et des Beaux Arts; a note in Engles's hand reads: "Note: Mr. Rabaud must have thought our copy was the original, although in my letter I said it was a copy[.] Engles.".
